Having an issue with your sno-kone machine rental? Here are the most common problems and how to fix them quickly. If you can't resolve the issue, call us immediately at (810) 221-1580 and we'll help.
Machine Won't Turn On
- Check that the machine is fully plugged into a working outlet
- Try a different outlet — the circuit may be overloaded
- Make sure the power switch is in the ON position
- Check for a reset button on the bottom or back of the unit and press it
Machine is Running But Not Shaving Ice
- Make sure ice is loaded correctly into the hopper — it should be packed in firmly
- Check that the ice block isn't too large — break into pieces if needed
- Ensure the blade is spinning — if not, the motor may need a moment to start up
- Use block ice or cubed ice rather than crushed ice for best results
Ice is Coming Out Too Chunky or Uneven
- Use colder, harder ice — partially melted ice produces uneven shavings
- Make sure ice is loaded tightly with no gaps
- Apply steady downward pressure on the ice while shaving
Machine is Overheating or Shutting Off
- Allow the machine to rest for 5–10 minutes between heavy use sessions
- Make sure the machine is in a shaded area — direct sunlight causes overheating
- Check that air vents are not blocked
Syrup Not Dispensing Properly
- Check syrup bottle is not empty
- Ensure the syrup pump or nozzle is not clogged — rinse with warm water
- Make sure syrup is at room temperature — cold syrup flows more slowly
