Dunk Tank Setup & Operation
Everything a new team member needs to set up, fill, run, and break down every dunk tank in our fleet.
Work through the sections in order — once you finish the maintenance section,
check in with your shift lead before your first solo event.

Core Dunk Tank Setup
The same base setup applies to both our Dunk Tank - Foldable and our Big Bucket Dunk Tank - Heated. Learn this first.

How To Setup A Dunk Tank — Twister Displays

Walks through unfolding the tank, pinning the frame, securing the canvas, installing the arm and target,
and filling to the fill line. This is the foundation for every dunk tank job. Master this before moving on
to the heated setup or the Dunk N Snap add-on.

Second perspective of the same setup procedure. Watch this if anything in the main video was unclear —
different angles sometimes explain the same step better.
02
Big Bucket Dunk Tank — Heated Setup
Our heated model adds a propane-fired water heater for cool-weather bookings. Only run this AFTER you've mastered the core setup in Section 01.
Video Coming Soon
Attaching & Operating the Water Heater
This one's custom to our fleet — no manufacturer video covers it. We're filming it in-house.
In the meantime, ask your shift lead to walk you through the setup live on your first heated booking.
What the video will cover:
connecting the heater to the tank, propane hookup, lighting the burner, target water temperature,
expected heat-up time per tank volume, and the end-of-event safety shutdown.
03
Dunk N Snap Add-On
Our proprietary quick-reset mechanism for high-volume events. Only attach this when the contract specifies it.
Video Coming Soon
Installing & Running the Dunk N Snap
Custom add-on — we'll film this ourselves. Until then, get a walk-through from your shift lead
before your first event that uses it.
What the video will cover:
attaching to the base tank frame, arming the target mechanism, the reset action, and troubleshooting
common sticking or mis-trigger issues.
04
Safety Rules & End-of-Event Breakdown
Non-negotiables. Read before every event.
On-site safety checks
- Verify the tank is on level ground. A tilted tank is a dumped tank.
- Confirm the trigger mechanism engages and releases cleanly before anyone climbs in.
- Check the water fill line. Under-filled = risk of injury. Over-filled = mess + overflow.
- Set the throwing line at the contract-specified distance and enforce it.
- No one under the age or height minimum in the seat. No exceptions.
End-of-event breakdown
- Drain completely before folding. Residual water in the canvas = mold risk.
- Wipe down the seat, frame, and canvas. Log any damage before loading.
- Fold the frame in the order shown in the Twister instructions.
- If heated: fully cool and disconnect propane before packing.
Training complete? Once you've worked through all four sections, check in with your shift lead
before your first solo dunk tank event so we can walk through a real setup together.
